Dear Terra
During the last election, I saw a few signs in the neighborhood with the message “Vote Climate”. I am interested in putting one in my yard this fall but don’t know where to get one. Can you help me?
“Green” Voter
Dear “Green” Voter,
Of course! I have a sign that I have reused several years, as it isn’t specific to one issue or election but simply asks people to consider climate issues when voting. For me, every decision I make is weighed in terms of its impact on our world’s health. From dish soap to new flooring to a cozy sweater to who/what I vote for, I always ask, “Which product or action will have the smallest footprint or impact on God’s creation?”
The best way I’ve found to stay informed on upcoming legislations, candidates’ positions and ways to be involved is to check out the 350 Spokane website. Some of you might remember Pat McCormick who has presented at several of Covenant’s Adult Ed classes. Pat is a co-chair of 350 Spokane. The website lists dates of meetings, local actions, podcasts, articles, and links to several faith-based groups (local, state and national). Visit: 350spokane.org

Enjoy creation’s fall colors!
